Dear all,

My name is Steve, and I'm new to the Business Development Team at Newcastle University. Dr Simon Philpott asked me to drop you a line to let you know about the World Politics and Popular Culture Conference, taking place on the 19th and 20th of November.

The Conference is a wide-ranging discussion on how popular culture makes the world meaningful, with panels and papers on everything from electronic gaming to the Vietnam War, and racial profiling to Marvel Comics. The keynote speaker is Professor Mike Shapiro. The Conference is being held in the charming seaside town of Tynemouth (about 10 miles from Newcastle City Centre), and we'd love to see you there.

We'd also be very grateful if you could display the attached flyer, and circulate it among your professional networks, and anyone else who may be interested.

To register, go to http://www.ncl.ac.uk/niassh/WorldPolitics/. If you have any comments or queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch. There's an Earlybird discoount until the end of September, so hurry!

Many thanks and best wishes,

Steve
