Greens/EFA group at the European Parliament call for Open Innovation support agenda

Via Gaelle Krikorian:

"As discussed with some of you the Greens/EFA group at the European Parliament just launched a call for a progressive agenda for creation and innovation.

Full details can be found on the website at:

http://www.greens-efa.eu/forms/286-call-for-a-progressive-agenda-on...

We think that the recent rejection of ACTA at the Parliament as well as the failure of SOPA and PIPA mark important victories over the industrial lobbies and are opening a space in the political debate for a more progressive way of devising creation and innovation. Even if we have no doubt that similar contents will reappear in different fora and legal contexts, we believe that it is key to give a higher profile to innovative ways to think innovation, and that policy makers need to pay more attention to proposals emerging in so many different fields and sectors, from scientific research to artistic production, through the Internet or not...

We are looking for inputs and contributions: proposals of new legal tools, new financing mechanisms, pilot projects and experimental initiatives, changes in laws (competition law, financial law, intellectual property law, etc). This initiative will be a source of inspiration for the Greens, and we hope for other political groups as well. Hopefully, it can also contribute to the more global discussion on this issue. I really hope that you will be able to participate.

Contributions will be received until September 21st, 2012."
