I am deeply motivated by the possibilities of sharing and creating as stimulated by copyleft, p2p architectures and open standards. In 2005 I conceived the idea of the SELF Platform for the collaborative creation of educational materials, initially focussing on Free Software, or information technology in general. With the help of the European Commission and a strong group of international partners we managed to develop this platform. Further work in this field I conduct with the Free Knowledge Institute, a non-profit foundation for the expansion of the concept and application of free knowledge.
