I am Gonzalo Luyo, I was born in Lima, Peru. I am currently getting a master's degree in integrative studies. I have a BA in architecture , and I worked at LOT, an NGO dedicated to the research of theater and performance (http://www.lotperu.org/). I have a been interested in P2P since I was an undergraduate, in part it was a way to get access and share information that otherwise would not be available in my country. With some friends we form a community that exchange movies and books and that would eventually gave birth to Cinencuentro (http://www.cinencuentro.com/). My undergraduate thesis was about an informal market that was in part the result of P2Ps and copying and reproducing technologies. I am currently interested in the work of Bruno Latour, Albena Yaneva & the Actor Network theory, the work of historian Thomas Parke Hughes (specially in LTS) , Donna Haraway, and Louis Althusser. I hope you accept my request!
How did you come across this network?
I read an article in Aljazeera, and I was intrigued about the P2P foundation. I went to the webpage check the discussion about Marx and I was sold. I thought immediately that this was a great place to learn, to listen, and to discuss, about some of the things that have always interested me.
welcome Gonzalo, it's great to have you here ... this forum is not very active, but hopefully in the future I or someone else will have more time to nurture it. as you know we have our regular blog, and a mailing list ... I'm not following the latter for 4 months myself because of a demanding project I'm involved in until the end of april ..
