Dear Michel,

I have come across your peer to peer work on the internet. I am based in the UK and work for an NGO to tackle poverty. I am running a national campaign about the informal economy. We are campaigning for a change in the Governments approach to informal workers - more carrots and less sticks to harness the informal economy and reduce poverty and hit employment targets.

We plan to set up support groups to encourage informal workers to share experiences and encourage each other to come forward and formalise their work. Be are campaigning that government takes a similar approach and trials this out in pilot projects across the UK. Do you think this concept of peer to peer would be relevant to our work and if so could it be promoted as a more appropriate method for government to use?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and recommendations on this,

Best wishes
Maeve
